  • This course provides a practical programme designed to: 
    • Equip staff with knowledge and skills allowing them to safely plan for and react in emergency situations involving bomb threat

    • Support the company’s existing security and emergency response guidelines

    • Provide key staff with the knowledge to reduce the physical and psychological risk to staff in the event of an emergency involving bomb threat


    All training delivered during the C4 training programme complies with and endorses any information, whether publicised or not, that is issued by the New Zealand Government. Instructors are ex- Police Bomb Squad members/instructors or international security operatives.


    The programme includes the following topics:

    • The basic nature of bombing as a threat

    • Current situation in New Zealand & internationally

    • Characteristics of bomb perpetrators

    • Basic security precautions to prevent or detect bomb deliveries

    • Planning and preparation for emergency situations

    • Taking action in an emergency

    • Participate in an evacuation

    • Business continuation

    • Maximising the safety of staff during an emergency

    • Strategies for conducting searches of buildings

    • Mail bomb attacks

    • Other types of emergencies; Fires, Hazardous Chemical, Building Damage, Natural Disasters, Criminal Activity, Terrorism

    • How the business and staff can recognise and cope with the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
