Student Information

C4 Group

C4 is a Category 1 NZQA registered Private Training Establishment under the Education Act 1989. 
C4 Group Ltd has consent to assess from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under Section 252 of the Education Act 1989 within the following scopes:
  • National Certificate in Security Level 2 (Programme approved)
  • National Certificate in Security Level  3 
  • National Certificate in Security Level 4 
  • National Diploma in Security Level 6 
  • First Aid - 6400, 6401, 6402 and 26551 and 26552
  • Pre-Hospital Emergency Care
  • First Aid for young children - 25459
  • Workplace Fire and Emergency Response (to Level 3)
  • Workplace Emergency Risk Management (to Level 5)
  • Fire and Rescue Services - Structural and Industrial (to Level 3)
  • Occupational Health and Safety (to Level 4)
  • Coordinated Incident Management System 2 - unit standard 17279
  • Coordinated Incident Management System 4 - unit standard 22445

Student Fee Protection

C4 adheres to the NZQA code of practice for management of student fees. To achieve this we use operate a Public Trust Student Fee Protection account. This does not apply to short courses, employer funded training and programmes attracting Skills funding.

Withdrawal and Refund policy

Domestic students only.

Short courses (COA, First Aid, Security courses, CIMS training)

1. Students who notify C4 Group of cancellation or non-attendance within 7 working days of the booked course are  entitled to a full refund and may re-book onto another course without incurring any further fees.

2. Students who do not notify C4 Group of non-attendance or cancellation are not entitled to a refund and must pay the full fee to book onto another course.

3. A full refund of fees will apply if C4 Group cancels the course. If students choose to re-book their fees will be carried over to the new course.

4. To request a refund please send an email to admin@c4group.co.nz stating the name and date of the course and a reason for the refund. Refunds will only be made to the person/organisation that made the original payment.


Courses less than twelve weeks/three months

  1. Students who have enrolled and withdraw prior to six weeks of the commencement date of the course are eligible for a full refund. This does not apply to short courses (as defined above).

  2. Students who have enrolled and withdraw within the six weeks leading up to the course are eligible for a refund of 50% of their course fees plus any associated debt collection fees if applicable.This does not apply to short courses (as defined above).

  3. Students who have enrolled and withdraw after the commencement date are not eligible for a refund.

  4. Students withdrawn on disciplinary grounds are not eligible for a refund of fees and are liable for the full course fee and any associated debt collection fees if applicable.

  5. This refund policy applies to both individual and corporate clients.

 

Courses longer than twelve weeks/three months

  1. Domestic students withdrawing from courses longer than twelve weeks/three months are entitled to a refund that equals the amount of fees paid less a deduction of ten per cent of the fees paid or $500 (whichever is the lesser).

  2. Students are only entitled to this refund if withdrawal occurs before the end of the eighth day after the start of the course.

  3. After this C4  is not obliged to refund any part of the fees but will review this on a case by case basis.

C4 does not currently enrol international students


Enrolment information

All students enrolled in a training programme (excludes short courses) will receive a learner handbook which specifically relates to the programme in which they are enrolled.This has information including the C4 Code of Conduct; full withdrawal and refund policy; appeals; complaints procedure; and learner support services. C4 Group does not enrol students under the age of 18.
